Description

Another Reality: After WW2,the British wanting to upgrade their capability in anti-ship operations, and, supporting it's ground role as part of NATO,wanted an attack plane to perform these duties. In 1958,the Air appropriation dept. of the RAF,drew up a paper of certification for a dual role attack plane. One of the first planes to meet this role ,was the Avon Wesley Wrecker A33. A 2engine,long loiter, anti-ship,and,anti-tank hunter. The Wrecker isn't a glamorous high speed fighter, but,it is a steady and slow anti-tank hunting beast, which can be fitted with a variety of weapons for any mission it's needed for. It's production numbers were modest,as a newer design had come off the drafting table to take it's place. The Wrecker served for the RAF and Royal Navy from 1962 to 1974.
