The Bomber

Alternate History: After strict agreements with the U.S.,the German government deployed 2 Bomber Groups to protect it's borders from  the WARSAW Alliance and the Soviet Union. In 1963,the Luftwaffe deployed the Focke Wulf FW-930 ,Kondor 2. It was an unusual bomber,using 2 jet engines and 2 conventional piston engines. A medium bomber,it used a belly gun system and a tail gun system against any air threats. After just 3 years of service,it was found ,that the conventional power plants gave poor performance,and,several modifications were made. In 1969,the engine problem,was finally  rectified,by the replacement,of turbo props. In 1973,the mission of the FW-930,was changed.
More modifications,of the removal of it's guns,and,addition of various recon packages,and,electronics to it's frame,and,the FW-930 finished service as a recon and ECM platform,and,was retired in 1985. Color has been added.
